What is new in CCTV?

For many years, small businesses wanting to run a CCTV system have had a number of cameras, powered from the mains and connected to a central box (VHS recorder or DVR).

VHS has disappeared from our lives; to some extent even DVDs have been eclipsed by BluRay and now VoD (Video on Demand).		We have also moved from analogue TV’s at home, opting instead for plasma, LED or LCD screens in 16:9 ratio displaying HDTV.
